How to Get Paid Playing Video Games

Many of you share the same interest of video gaming and often wonder what it would be like to be a video game tester. Talk about a dream job. Can you imagine getting up every morning and getting paid money to do what you love? I'm not talking about minimum wage either. I'm talking about at least $20 per hour and up. There are many companies who are looking for game testers who are passionate about playing games. This is the ideal job for those of you who wish to help companies improve their games. A game tester is responsible for finding and reporting bugs give criticisms and offer improvement and most importantly play the game. The video game industry brings in over 50 billion dollars a year and with the release of a game every day they are in dire need of gamers to test them.

There are many benefits to testing video games. The first is you get access to games pre-release which means you will be one of the first to play the game. Secondly you have insider info to bugs, level secrets and hidden game features. Thirdly you have the inner satisfaction of knowing you helped the gaming community and you have cash to show for it. The way I see it is you might as well get paid to do something you would do for free.

I'm sure you are wondering how to get paid for playing video games. Well it's quite simple really. We have two options. The first is to contact the gaming companies and hope they respond or you can purchase a guide that tells you what companies pay beta testers. These guides range from 30 - 50 dollars but they give you direct access to what companies actually pay you. I personally choose to opt for the second option and well let's just say I get paid very well. Please see my resource box for my review of the top 3 video gaming resources.
